  • What do we suggest?
We suggest making sure that all your child's toiletries, especially those that might leak, are packed in a Ziploc bag. In addition, we suggest that you avoid toiletries with flip-top lids because they are more likely to open at any point from the packing process at home to unpacking at camp.
  • What's common sense with MS Baggage?
Use common sense when packing your child's luggage. If your child has to bring their portable electronics, tennis racquets or other items that might easily be damaged in a soft-sided piece of luggage, then it might be wiser to send that item in the child's carry-on luggage. If that item must be transported in a piece of luggage, make sure it is adequately protected by padding or other protective measures.
  • What to remove?
Be sure to remove your baggage’s old, outdated tags from other carriers and have your own high quality complete permanent tags securely fixed them, just as if flying for vacation! MS Baggage will tag all bags on pick up reflecting camp directed instructions for delivery.

  • Q. Do I need to make a reservation for each camper individually?
A.Yes. Each camper must have their own reservation as this ensures proper pickup and delivery to the proper bunk at camp. Each one-child reservation includes up to 2 bags as directed by camp. This is a flat rate price with no discounts for multiple campers. Additional “trunks” require camp's approval. There is an additional charge for golf clubs and they must be in a bag or boxed. Lacrosse and hockey sticks will be at no additional charge and it is highly encouraged they be boxed.
  • Q. What if we have more than the 2 bags allowed by camp?
    A. If you know you have more than 2 “trunks” at the time of registration, please select the total number of pieces for each camper profile in the drop-down box. If after you register and you need to add another piece, please email MS Baggage with your specific request and we will contact you asap. Email: support@msbaggage.com
  • Q. Should I include directions to my home?
    A. Please! Even if you were a customer in previous years, you will most likely have different drivers picking up or delivering to your home. Any special instructions or directions to help locate your home are always appreciated. Please provide directions from the nearest main road or cross street; there is no need to provide directions from the highway. Use the "Other Instructions" box for any additional information.
  • Q. Should I include the development name where my home is located?
    A. Yes. Please include the development name and any other special conditions we should be aware of, such as a certain entrance we should use or restrictions for entry. Please note that if you do have a guard or gate, you must alert them ahead of time to allow our drivers entry. If our drivers are denied entry and must come back, there may be an additional fee. Use the "Other Instructions" box for any additional details you wish to provide.
  • Q. Can we send golf clubs?
    A. Yes for $50.00 round trip. Please make sure that the golf clubs are in a secure bag or box and are labeled with your camper’s information.
  • Q. Can we ship our child's hockey or lacrosse stick?
A.Yes. We strongly urge that hockey and lacrosse sticks be packed in boxes. You can use one box for multiple sticks. Please label each stick and box in large print with the child’s full name and address just like the permanent luggage tags on your “trunks”.MS Baggage is NOT RESPONSIBLE for damage to unboxed sports equipment. Our limits of liability on these items are $100.00 for each stick.
  • Q. Do you provide boxes?
    A. We do not provide any shipping materials or boxes.
  • Q. Can I ship plastic drawers/chests?
    A. Plastic drawers should not be shipped. If they are desired, please bring them directly to camp. Plastic drawers/chests are very fragile and do not hold up in shipping. We will not be responsible for damage to plastic drawers or chests.
  • Q. What address should we write on your permanent luggage tag if we are not using your service for return?
    A. Please write your home address and phone number on your luggage tags even if you are not using our return service. This will help to identify your bags while in our possession and at camp.
  • Q. Should I put a lock on my child's baggage?
    A. Most parents do not lock their children's luggage. Plastic zip ties work well to secure the zippers.
  • Q. What if no one will be home on the day of pick up or delivery?
    A. You do not need to be home for your pick up or delivery. Most of our parents simply instruct us where to pick up or leave the bags in a protected area around their home, such as the front porch or a covered back deck. For any changes, contact the MS Baggage office. If you unexpectedly need to leave home on the day of pickup or delivery, again simply call the office, or leave a note on your front door directing the drivers to where the luggage should be picked up or dropped off around the home.
  • Q. Can we have the bags picked up or dropped off somewhere else such as a neighbor’s house or with a nearby friend?
    A. Yes, the baggage can be picked up or delivered from any address you choose. When you register, simply enter the address where you would like the bags picked up and dropped off—they do not have to be the same. If you have already registered and need to change the address, give our office a call before the change deadline.
  • Q. What time can we expect our camper's baggage to be picked up or dropped off?
    A. On the day scheduled for your area, our drivers begin their routes at 7 AM and continue until all bags are picked up/dropped off. Barring extreme traffic issues and unexpected road closures, most trucks finish their routes by early afternoon. New York City Residents (including Brooklyn and Riverdale): If you have a 24-hour doorman, luggage must be brought down the night before. If you live in a NON-doorman building or your doorman is not available 24 hours, please be advised that our trucks begin pick-ups at 5:30 AM.
  • Q. Why is there a deadline for changes and instructions?
    A. All changes and special instructions must be received by the MS Baggage office far enough in advance so we can make the necessary notations in your reservation(s). This ensures that your home will be mapped into the appropriate route for the quality and expeditious service you deserve. Routes are limited in capacity given municipal truck size restrictions and DOT weight limits. Changing the address by as little as two streets makes a difference.
  • Q. Should we tip the MS Baggage driver?
    A. Please do! Our drivers range from college students to mothers and fathers. There is no expectation, only appreciation for your business!
  • Q. We want our return service to a different location, what should we do?
    A. If you need to change the address for return service, notify the MS Baggage office and camp prior to the July/August change-of-address deadline, so we can change the tags to reflect your new return address. The luggage will be delivered to the address on the luggage tags. It is your responsibility to make sure that the camp is aware of the new return address. You must still contact the MS Baggage office, so that we can update our mapping records.
  • Q. What if my child is attending camp for four weeks? How should we register?
    A. If your child is attending for four weeks, please register for round trip service and use the special instructions box to indicate your child will be returning after four weeks. We will coordinate with camp
